Why did you apply for a trainee position at Aneo?  

“I applied for a trainee position at Aneo because I wanted to work with renewable energy. I also saw it as a golden opportunity to get to work in different places within the group in the beginning, to find out what I prefer to work with, but also just to be able to see more sides of the company and what the different departments work with.”  

What do you like most about working at Aneo?  

“I really love the work culture at Aneo! You get to try a lot of different things with varying levels of difficulty, and there’s always help to be had from kind and knowledgeable colleagues. That creates a great platform for learning and development.”  

What have you been working on during your time as a trainee?  

“I’ve mainly worked with power market analysis. In doing so, I’ve learned a lot about how the market works and been part of the team that handled this year’s long-term analysis. I’ve also worked on getting more of the processes into Python and gained insight into the day-to-day production planning. Eventually, I’ll be more involved in production planning and optimisation, in preparation for my role as a production planner at the production centre this summer.” 

What’s the best thing about being a trainee?  

“The best thing about being a trainee is socialising with the other trainees. Soon after we all started, we spent a week at the production centre, learning more about how they work there. We all stayed at a nearby cabin owned by the Aneo Group. That made us really tight-knit from the get-go. The monthly trainee lunches are also always nice. You can also rotate positions and see different departments in the group, learn a lot and get to know a lot of people.”
